Surge Protection Systems

With the expansion of our business into new locations we were advised by our contractor to call Alltec Corp in Canton, NC. They told us that if we were serious about installing surge protection systems that are reliable and provide secure grounding protection this company would be able to take care of our needs. They are a grounding system designer with unsurpassed experience and are also a grounding system manufacturer so everything is designed and built to work together. This ensures a complete grounding system. From a single lightning rod to a complete lighting rod system, we could count on getting just the right components. We did our homework too before calling them and found a wide range of information on their website http://www.allteccorp.com.

B2B Email Marketing Tip: Use a Template

For three decades my family has owned a flower shop. My parents started the business when I was born, and for as long as I can remember I would spend a lot of my free time at the store. As I reached middle and high school, working at the flower shop was my after school and summer job, and as an only child I came to love my parents' business and knew that I would always be working there in some capacity. After graduating college with a marketing degree, I returned to my hometown and took over the email marketing campaign for our shop. My parents were glad to have me back and to have the perspective of someone familiar with marketing to web clients, particularly B2B clients. I started an email campaign that has been immensely successful. We have a number of corporate clients who send flowers for a variety of occasions from promotions and graduation to births and bereavement; I send out a weekly newsletter with photos and prices of arrangements for a variety of occasions, giving clients ideas about what bouquet to order next. I remind them of upcoming holidays and that flowers are an excellent choice for any occasion.

The best tip I could give anyone who's thinking about adding email marketing to their marketing repertoire is to try it today! It's easy and inexpensive to send out email newsletters, and our flower shop has enjoyed a nearly twofold increase in revenue since I started using email marketing. Plus, I have fun putting the newsletters together! I use a shortcut by having a template I use on non-holiday weeks. When it comes time to plan out my email marketing campaign, I simply plug in photos of bouquets and some message copy and I'm good to go. I make sure I have my husband, a copy editor at our local newspaper, proofread the email and test the links before I send them to keep the highest quality of professionalism in my emails. Email marketing has been my big contribution to our flower shop, and I'm sure one day the child I'm now pregnant with will add her own signature to our family business... I can't wait!

Crafting Your Call to Action? Keep it Simple

If you've studied marketing in any capacity, you know that a call to action is key in enticing consumers to act the way you want them to; with B2B clients the call to action is even more important because you're working with distracted business people without a lot of time to read your emails. With B2B email marketing you don't have time to go the long way around your point; clients usually only spend a few seconds on your email before deleting it and moving on to the next one, so it's imperative that you make your copy interesting, easy to read, and including calls to action several times. A quick scan of your email should leave the reader knowing exactly what you what them to do, whether that's visiting your website, buying your product, signing up for your newsletter, or some other action.

Here are a few tips to make sure you write a clear, convincing call to action that will make heeding its call irresistible to your readers:

Be specific. If buying your product today will save consumers money, tell them how much. "Buy our great new product today and save 5 dollars!" is much better than "Order our product and save." The second is more brief, but in this case the longer, more specific call to action wins the day.

Convey urgency. Power words and phrases like "free," "limited time only," and "limited time only, act today" are all good examples to compel readers to act on your call to action.

Tell them what to do. You can't reach through the computer screen, grab your reader's credit card, and order your product, but you can be so specific that they can't help but respond to your email's call. "Click here to order now" and "Grab your credit card and order today" are both examples that tell readers exactly what they need to do.

Make use of a "P.S." Many readers' eye is drawn to the p.s. as they scan your email, so make use of this valuable space by including one final, conclusive call to action for a last chance to urge the reader to persuade them to do what you want them to do.
